Confederation Central Sweeps Elementary Soccer
     Confederation Central won both the Boy's and Girl's Elementary Soccer Championships held recently at Veteran's Field. The Sarnia South Boy's Final was tied at ones before it went to penalty shots. On the seventh shot Confederation Central won the championship over Sir John Moore in an entertaining game. In the Sarnia North Final, Errol Road overcame a previous loss to Cathcart to win 1-0. Cathcart hit the crossbar on a penalty shot late in the game and Errol Road persevered in an exciting final.
     In the Girl's Sarnia South Final, Confederation once again beat Sir John Moore 2-1 in a well played final. In the Sarnia North Final, Rosedale and Bright's Grove tied for second. The winner was determined by penalties and Rosedale won the right to play Cathcart in the final. Cathcart won the final 1-0 and did not allow a goal the entire tournament.
     Thanks go out to the Sarnia Girl's Soccer Club who allowed the tournament at their fantastic facility. The tournament was attended by a total of 24 teams and hundreds of spectators.
