The BlueWater Jr Blaze U-11
hosted Waterloo Stingers in the first home game for
Bluewater. The Blaze and Stingers played an entertaining
first half, with good chances by both teams, but neither
team could find the back of the net. The second half saw
Waterloo strike first. A high lofted ball from outside
the 18 yard box drifted into the net over the
outstretched arms of Mario Hudson. Waterloo was
energized by the goal and struck again off the far post
and in. The second goal took the wind out of Bluewater
and they surrendered the next two goals. The Blaze tried
to mount some offence late in the contest but the
Stingers keeper denied their advances.
Final 4-0 Waterloo.
