July 5, 2007
Langtree Controls #4 0 vs. Carwash in the
Grove 8
Despite
the score, Langtree played very well in this game. Noah
Tardif and Roland
Zhang shared goal-tending duties and made WAY more saves than misses. Langtree had only 8 players in total this evening and 4 of them were
feeling sick to their stomachs for most of the game. They played
short-handed for much of the second half due to illness. The boys
played hard to the point of exhaustion and had a few good chances for
goals. The goalie for Carwash was excellent in this game.
Trevor Smith, Eric Lange and Noah
Tardif were speedy forwards and tried
hard to create opportunities for each other. Aaron Mori was a stand-out
defenseman. He prevented a lot of shots on goal and just kept on
going. Adam Woodill, Ryan Dyck and Oakley Bernard kept trying on
defense despite nasty stomach aches. Roland Zhang was a great
mid-fielder whose high-kicking legs stopped quite a few plays from
working the way the other team intended them.
It was a great effort and the boys should all be proud of themselves for
not giving up!
