Sarnia Fury U11 Win Bluewater Tournament
May 12 - 13, 2007

 


Sarnia U11 got off to a great start to the season winning the Bluewater Earlybird tournament over the weekend.
 


Sarnia started the tournament with a comfortable 5 - 1 win against Tecumseh Warriors. Richael O'Neill opened the scoring For Sarnia. Dylan Caron showed some fine finishing scoring 3 goals for the hat trick and a well worked move involving Craig Gunn and Josh Stamos down the left resulted in a
goal scored by Declan Mayo.
 

Sarnia then beat Harrow Hurricanes with a 2 - 0 win.
Sarnia's two stikers Dylan Caron and Declan Mayo both finding the net. Sarnia's defence of Taylor Janzen, Matt Ciccarelli, Alec Taraborrelli and Mitch Hodgins stayed solid in helping Josh Elsley with his shutout.


The 2 wins gave Sarnia top spot in their division and now played Byron in the semi final. In a hard fought game Sarnia managed to grind their way to a 1 - 0 win.

Konnor Harris collected the ball on the right, managed to beat the last defender and found the top right corner of the net. Josh Elsley again with the shutout in Sarnia's goals. Richael O'Neill also collected MVP for the game.


Sarnia Fury now played Bluewater in the final. From the start you could see both teams we up for this match. After an even Start, Bluewater struck first when Jordan weaved through Fury's defence and beat Elsley with a low hard shot. Fury then Battled back with a great strike from Konnor Harris to level the score at half-time.
 

Fury started the 2nd half well, Sarnia were then awarded a free kick 20 yards out and Anthony Fazzalari made no mistake with a great strike to give Fury the lead. With 10 min's to go Dylan Caron wrapped it up for Fury with another great strike to give Sarnia Fury the 3 - 1 win and the Championship.

Richael O'Neill again named MVP for the game.
 


 


Amazing weekend for the boys. Sarnia Fury's coaching staff are very proud of the whole teams efforts.
