Sarnia Fury shut out Bluewater

On Saturday Sarnia took on local rivals Bluewater in U11 London District action.

1st half saw Bluewater carry most of the play and looked the more determined side. Sarnia's goalie Josh Elsley was kept busy as Bluewater pressed forward having to deal with a number of saves. Before half Sarnia were rewarded a free kick 20 yards out. Anthony Fazzalari made no mistake and hit a high looping Shot past the out stretched Bluewater goalie. Half time 1 - 0 Sarnia.

2nd half saw a more even game, but Bluewater still pressed for the equalizer. Marcus Dussault had a low hard shot well saved by Elsley and a goal mouth scramble midway through half was also pounced on by Elsley. With a few minutes remaining, Sarnia secured the win when Anthony Fazzalari once again sent in a dangerous ball which slipped Through the goalie and giving Sarnia the 2 - 0 win.

Sarnia's defence of Matt Ciccarelli, Taylor Janzen, Alec Taraborrelli and Mitch Hodgins all played well under pressure. Along With some great goaltending helped Elsley to his shutout.
