Fury U11 Beat Waterloo
Sarnia Fury U11 travelled away to Waterloo last week
hoping to regroup from last games defeat.
Both teams started well with the game being played end
to end with lots of chances created.
Josh Elsley was on form stopping Waterloo with a number
of saves, while the Waterloo keeper Was equally busy.
With Dylan Caron and Konnor Harris unlucky infront of
goal and a great Cross finding Riley Roberts going close
with a header.
Sarnia pressed for the opener and were rewarded with a
great long pass from Mitch Hodgins found Riley Roberts
who sent in a low hard pass to the 6 yard line. Konnor
Harris reacted before the keeper and slotted home the
goal. Sarnia continued to press and made it 2 - 0
when Craig Gunn collected the ball on thye left, cut
inside and sent A low shot passed the keeper.
2nd half started with Sarnia dominating. Kraig Durco,
Richael O'Neill and Anthony Fazzalari all testing the
goal. With Sarnia controlling, Matt Ciccarelli was
able to step up from defence and was very unluck with 2
long range efforts. With Fury unable to add to the lead,
Waterloo got themselves back into the game, when a goal
mouth scramble Was poked into the net to bring the game
to 2 - 1. With 10 min to go Sarnia secured the
points when Anthony Fazzalari sent a great long ball
through to Dylan Caron.
Caron went one on one with the keeper and made no
mistake with a low shot to the bottom right corner.
Final score 3 - 1 Sarnia Fury.
