Sarnia Fury U11 Lose Close One Against Kitchener
Sarnia hosted Kitchener, the current league leader,
hoping to capitalize on their recent good form.
Sarnia started slow and found themselves having to
defend a series of corner kicks from Kitchener.
Sarnia began to grow in confidence and started to create
chances. Riley Roberts opened the scoring after 15 min
With a great strike to take the lead. Sarnia kept up the
pressure and looked to be in control. 5 min before half
Kitchener pushed forward and found space inside the the
Fury box. The Kitchener forward was 1st to react to give
the visitors the equalizer.
Second half saw Sarnia once again take charge of the
game. Craig Gunn working well down the left causing
problems for Kitchener. Richael O'Neill saw a long range
shot save. Dylan Caron and Konnor Harris also saw
chances save by the keeper. With 15 min to go, Kitchener
got the go ahead goal. A goal mouth scramble lead to
Kitchener poking a header past the outstetched Elsley in
goal. Sarnia found it hard to recover and came away with
a tough 2 - 1 loss.
Great performance from the Fury team showed a lot of
heart. Unfortunate not to come away with more from the
game.
