Sarnia Fury U11 Beat Vipers
Sarnia Fury U11 hosted
London Viper and came away with a well deserved
2 - 0 victory In the London District U11 soccer league
action.

1st half saw
Sarnia carry the play. Sarnia were unlucky
to take an early lead when Riley Roberts was
judged offside as he struck the back of the
net. Vipers were also called for an off side
goal as they tried to get themselves into
the game. |

The
rest of the half saw Sarnia create some
great chances. JG Gardners sent over a great
cross and Trevor McEwan who was unlucky with
the header. Richael O'Neill had a long range
shot go just wide of the post. Half time
score 0 - 0. |

Second half saw Sarnia continue to press on
the Vipers. Konnor Harris's speed was
starting to cause problems for the Vipers
defence. Harris managed to get in behind the
Vipers defence but the shot rattled of the
post and cleared. |

Then a long ball from Matt Ciccarelli saw
Harris race through and this time shot past
the goalie to grab the opener.
A few minutes later Riley Roberts and Konnor
Harris working well with Konnor Harris
grabbing his second of the match.
Vipers best chance of the half came from a
free kick which was well saved by Josh
Elsley. |

Sarnia again showed strong defensive play
from Mitch Hodgins, Alec Taraborrelli, TJ
Janzen and Matt Ciccarelli in helping Josh
Elsley with the shutout. |
Sarnia's next match is away, Mon 2nd July against the
league leaders Byron.
