The Sarnia Spirit U11
Girls soccer team travelled to Chatham for their
season opener
and had a great start to the 2007 season by shutting out Chatham with a
final score of 2 - 0.
With a great team effort contributed by all that won
the game it was
Shae-Lynn Vangassen who scored both goals. Also
contributing in the win was the amazing defense
and solid goaltending by Mackenzie Turner earning
her first shut out for the season.
The Spirit U11 return to the field next Monday the
14th for their home opener against the
Waterloo Phoenix with a
kick off at 6:45.
