Won Gold at Home!
Sarnia Spirit Invitational
The Sarnia Girls u14 team had a terrific win this
weekend, taking home the gold.
In the first game the girls played SouthWest London and
the game was kept tight as shown by the 0-0 final score.
In game 2, the girls played London Matrix where they
faught hard but came up a little short in the end losing
2-0. In the third game the girls lost to St. Thomas,
with St. Thomas scoring their only goal late in the 2nd
half to win with a score of 1-0.
The girls advanced to the semi's where they defeated
Georgetown 3-2 in a shoot out. In regulation time the
game ended 1-1. Scorers were Alex Pots in regular time
and Paige Price and Sam Kaldeway in the shoot out.
Hillary Graham was in net.
In the final game Sarnia took the gold with a score of 2-0 over St.
Thomas. Allison Wooky and Paige Price scored the goals.
Hillary Graham was in net for the Spirit. The game was
intense and the score was kept close. Fortunately, the
Spirit pulled through and managed to come out with the
win. The girls have 1 game left and are planning to win
the championship.
