Game 2
May 20, 2008
Sicily
Restaurant takes Henne's Jewellery 7 - 4.
It was another great
victory for Sicily Restaurant tonight, as the boys
pulled together to come out ahead. In the first
half the boys found themselves coming up short.
Henne's Jewellery and their passing skills proved to
be too much for the boys in white and the half would
end at 4 -3 for the gold. A quick pep talk and the
boys regrouped to control the second half. Strong
on defence was Stuart Drope. The speed of our
midfielders (Jacob Hill and Aaron Mori) was
impressive, bringing the ball up to pass to the
forwards, who in turn were able to send it home!
Net minding duties were shared between Roland Zhang
(who left the game in the second half with a sore
ankle) and Francisco Ramos. Both were solid in
net. Goals were scored by Noah Tardif with three,
Terrance Syrie with two (way to go Terry!), Sean
Brown-Burk and Jaden Lumley added singles. The game
ended 7 - 4 for Sicily. The boys came out the
second half wanting the win and did so by passing
the ball and playing together. Way to work as a
team!
