Sarnia took on a
tough London City in
their 1st home game
of the season at
St.Christophers.
The game started
well with both teams
playing well. With
15 min in, London
struck 1st with a
high shot on goal
from a well
delivered corner
kick.
This seemed to raise
Sarnia's game.
Sarnia were nearly
rewarded when a low
hard 20 yard strike
from Ryan Lyle came
off the inside post
and saved on the
goal line. Sarnia
seemed to find some
new confidence And
finished the half
strong.
Second half saw
London step up a
gear and Sarnia
found themselves
losing 3 quick
goals. Sarnia pulled
one back when a nice
through ball from
Ryan Kennedy found
Richael O'Neill who
shot low and hard
into the net.
Sarnia kept pushing
and nearly got
another goal with a
great run from Craig
Gunn saw his shot
narrowly miss the
top corner.
With time running
out, London sealed
the win with a late
goal. 5 - 1 Sarnia
loss.
Sarnia's coaches are
proud of the way the
team is battling
hard, with the
scorelines not
reflecting how well
the Boys are
playing. Keep your
heads up, it will
come!!!
Sarnia next compete
in the Ontario Cup
7th / 8th June in
Kitchener.
