Sarnia Fury
U12's kicked off their season last week at the Bluewater
Earlybird tournament in Sarnia.
As defending Champions, they were hoping to get off to a
good start start against Southend from London.
From the start Southend looked very determined and had
Sarnia under a lot of pressure. Sarnia's best
chance of the game came from great 18 yard drive from
Daniel Vallee with Southend's keeper making a great save
tipping it onto the crossbar. Unfortunately for Sarnia
they eventually lost the game 4 - 0.
Next match Sarnia Fury faced Stratford. Total turnaround
for Fury in this match. Fury dominated from start to
finish. Sarnia's forward Craig Gunn, Konnor Harris
and Dan Vallee all having great chances on net but
unfortunately unable to beat the solid Statford goalie.
Sarnia's best chance came from a 30 yard power stike
from Spencer Gorman which hit the unside of the crossbar
and the ref deciding the ball came down on the line and
ruled it no goal. With all of Sarnia's possession they
were robbed with 2 minutes when Stratford broke clear
and slotted the ball home for a 1 - 0 win.

The
consolation match saw Sarnia V North London. Facing a
strong wind 1st half Sarnia still looked
the stronger team. North London had used the wind well
and managed to build a quick 3 - 0 lead.
After seeing his early penalty kick saved, Craig Gunn
broke through the London defence to pull
1 back for Sarnia. Second half saw Sarnia dominate with
wind advantage, Richael O'Neill scoring for
Sarnia to make it 3- 2 and Craig scoring his second to
even it up. Sarnia again seeming to carry no luck as
they again hit the post twice before full time. We then
had extra time, golden goal. Sarnia trying to hold out
against the wind until half, were unable to stop a low
hard drive from London. 4 - 3 loss.

competed well against Winsor but found themselves losing
4 - 1 . Daniel Vallee was Sarnia's scorer after some
good pressure from Sarnia in 2nd half.
Sarnia Fury V Kitchener
Sarnia new
they were in a tough match against last years Champs.
Sarnia once again competed well but were unable to stop
the well organized Kitchener team. Dylan Caron gave
Sarnia some hope late on with a great run in from the
right side and rattling the shot off the crossbar. Final
score 4 - 0 Kitchener
Sarnia Fury V London City
With weather
conditions wet and cold Sarnia played a very solid game
against London. 3 early goals
from London didn't stop the Sarnia team play with a lot
of heart and finish strong. The defensive core
of Mitch Hodgins, TJ Janzen , Alec Taraborrelli all
played great and some good saves from Anthony Fazzalari
helped build some confidence within the team. Final 3 -
0 London.
