On June 7th at their home field, Sarnia was up
against Cambridge and just 5 minutes into play Sarnia went up by
one.
Alicia DaSilva connected with the back of the net after receiving a cross pass from Melissa Blair. With some great saves by goaltender Danielle Graham, the Sarnia girls led at half time by a score of 1-0. Four minutes into the 2nd half of play, Cambridge came out firing and was able to find the net after hitting the goal post and bouncing in. The score was tied 1-1, with only 4 minutes left in play, Danielle came up with a big save to disallow Cambridge the go ahead goal. Cambridge dominated the 2nd half taking many shots and was able to put one away to take the lead. After 70 minutes of play, Sarnia was defeated 2-1.
