The Sarnia Women’s
took a win last night in Oil City against the Petrolia Sr. Ladies in
Lambton Kent District Soccer action. In the first half Ashley McNeil
crossed the ball over in front of the net and connected with Kristin
Hayward who put it in for the first Sarnia goal.
Before
the half was over the ladies scored their second goal when
Christy Plommer made a nice turn in the box and passed it over
to Hayward who then took the high shot into the net to put
Sarnia up
2 – 0.
In the second half Petrolia narrowed the lead to 1 when they
scored their only goal on a penalty kick. Game continued and
time ran out with Sarnia winning with a final score of 2 – 1.
The team is now 2 – 0 - 1 for the season.

Next up the ladies travel to Wallaceburg on Monday
May 26 to take on the
Wallaceburg U19 team.
