Bluewater vs Petrolia

Bluewater Lightning
faced off against Petrolia at Heritage Park. Bluewater
came out strong and were on the attack from the get go.
They could not finish their chances and the game stayed
scoreless well into the first half. Cameron Adam fired
his second goal of the season on a nice pass from
Nicholas Iacobelli to put Bluewater on the board.
Nicholas Iacobelli then increased the score to 2-0 when
he fired home a nice shot from the top of the box.
Goalkeeper Tracer Mackay was forced to make a couple of
good saves late in the half to keep the score at 2-0.
Petrolia started the second half strong and were
rewarded with their first goal to cut the lead to 2-1.
Bluewater defenders Aidan Manery, Daniel Wellington,
Zachary Matias and Taylor Iacobelli played very well
keeping the Petrolia shooters to the outside and
limiting their chances. Nicholas Iacobelli then
increased the lead to 3-1 when he drove hard to the net
and banged home a rebound on a shot from Jack Bedard.
Bluewater then went ahead 4-1 when Daniel Wellington
scored on a shot from way out on a pass from Colin
Yazdani. Petrolia caught Bluewater "napping" and scored
on a break-away to cut the lead to 4-2. Nicholas
finished off his "hat trick" by scoring on a bullet of a
shot to the bottom corner after a nice feed from Jakeb
Gray. Brendyn Hazlitt then scored his first goal of the
season when he fired home a nice shot on a goal mouth
scramble.Final
