Bluewater Blaze U-13 vs. London City Gunners

The undefeated London City Gunners, were the challengers at Lambton College vs. the Bluewater Jr. Blaze U-13 squad.

London controlled the play early on, but Josh Graham was outstanding in the Blaze net. London drew first blood with a converted cross that beat Graham.

Bluewater stormed back when Dilly Ohuegbe outraced the London defense and buried the chance, sending the teams to half time tied at 1.
 

The Blaze continued to show they could play with a top team and were almost rewarded when Ohuegbe again broke in on the Gunner goal. Ohuegbe sidestepped a challenging goalie but his shot could not find the mark and the score remained deadlocked.
 

Garth Denys was the next Blaze player to break through the London defenders, but his first touch was overly aggressive and the keeper was able to pounce on the ball before a shot could be taken.

London also had excellent scoring chances but Graham was there to deny the Gunner attack time and again. London was able to penetrate the backfield of the Blaze and Graham deflected a hard shot. The rebound went to an unmarked Gunner player who roofed the ball under the cross bar for a 2-1 lead.

The Blaze attempted to tie the score but time was not on their side. The final result was a hard fought 2-1 loss.
