Sarnia Produce vs Tomlinson Enterprises

Sarnia Produce
returned to the pitch to face Tomlinson
Enterprises in a battle for first place.
Play began slow and erratic with not many
scoring chances as both teams looked
cautiously for opportunities. Goalkeepers
on both ends of the field didn't face many
shots. The teams went into the half tied 0 -
0.
The second half began much as the first with
defense playing a vital role. In the 60th
minute however, Tomlinson jumped on a
defensive error to capitalize with striker
Paul Ritchie blasting home a loose ball in
the goal area. Produce tried to re-group
and began forcing play in the Tomlinson
end. As they pushed forward Theo Tsaprailis
was taken down in the Penalty area and
rewarded a penalty kick.
As leading
scorer he decided to take the kick himself ,
and made no mistake hitting the back of the
net with a low rocket. Despite both teams
creating chances the game finished at 1 - 1
.
