Highlights for July 23rd
Langtree Controls (3) vs CEPU (4)
For CEPU: Spencer Baillie got all 4 goals for the
game and Connor Post had a shut out in the first
half in net. Hayden and Tarien Snauwaert had some
strong defensive plays and Cole Phillips had a
couple of scoring chances of his own. Liam Miller
worked hard in net in the second half. Good job
boys!
For Langtree: all 3 goals scored by Jaxon Shelton.
Both teams played well in first half with lots of
scoring opportunities. CEPU goalie made great saves
on Jaxon’s, Matthew’s, Brett’s and Tyler’s shots on
the net. Stefan was solid on the net for Langtree,
allowing only one goal in first half while making
some great saves. Mathew and James worked hard in
midfield. Second half brought more excitements and
3 goals from each side. Deklen was good on the net.
Jaxon made some good runs through opponents defense,
scoring all 3 goals. Matthey, Stefan, Brett and
Jaxon displayed some good passing skills in second
half.
Hazlitt/Steves/Harris (2) vs Tim Horton's
(1)
For H/S/H: H.S.H. 's victory over Tim Hortons 2-1
was lead by stellar goaltending. The first half shut
out by Ethan Harte-Wynne and solid one goal second
half by Cameron Stevens secured the win. The first
half was a very close battle with numerous chances
at both ends. H.S.H. first goal was scored by
Nohuah Hazlitt on a wide open cross by Cameron
Stevens. Early in the second half Logan Watson
launched one into the top corner to tie the game for
Tim Hortons. In the final minutes of the second
half Cole Morgan made a solo break and buried the
winning goal with a solid shot. Very entertaining
and well referred game.
For Tim's: Despite the lack of substitutes, Tim
Horton's boys played their hearts out today,
displaying excellent passing skills, notably
between Mavi Deol, Joel Curtis and Thomas
Cardinal, that allowed Tim's boys to command
virtually the entire game. Tim's lost by only 1 goal
although they could have easily won by a 3 or 4
margin, if all the shots on goal by Cole Rogers,
Brian Monteiro, Thomas Cardinal and Logan Watson had
found their mark. Logan booted in a perfect shot for
the goal of the day but the tie did not last for
long and the game ended in a 1-2 loss for Tim
Horton's. Strong in net were Cole and Brian.
John's Restaurant (3) vs Silk Screen (5)
For Silk Screen: Goals scored came from Cole
Robinson 1, Dylan Riddell 2, and Luke Vanderburgt 2.
Scoring for John's was Colby Sebben 1, and Ryan
Moses 2. The boys played hard and you can see
improvements in passing and other skills.
For John's: 1st goal - scored by Ryan Moses on a
nice individual effort. 2nd goal - Blake Brand and
Colby Sebben assisted on Ryan Moses second goal on
the game. 3rd goal - Colby Sebban blasted his first
of the game on a set up by Ryan Moses. Aiden Atyeo-Griffin
and Kelland Griffen share the net and both made some
big saves.

Harvey's: Tough game on a rain soaked field. Nonstop
end to end action. Harvey’s Scorers – Evan Trigatti
1, Garret Patterson 1, goalies Kaleb Zetinoglu,
Connor Rapaich.
For Contro Valve:
Both teams played a great defensive game and lots of
saves from Sam Wilhelm & Diane Clarke our goal
keepers kept the scoring low. Contro Valve was
awarded a penalty kick on an unfortunate
“hand-ball”. Liam Chadwick was called upon to take
the kick and with a quick run at the ball he blasted
it top left of the keeper finding the back of the
net for his first goal of the season.
Waymic Construction (7) vs Chalmers (3)
For Waymic: Mark Bridge had all 7 goals. Tonight was
a great team effort on defense as well the boys pass
the ball very well. Chalmers had only 7 players
tonight the score does not reflect how hard the boys
played.
For Chalmers: Chalmers played short, with No subs,
and did a good job of keeping the game close, and at
half the game was 2-1 for Waymic, with a goal scored
by Logan Tardiff, assisted by Cole Goossens. In the
second half, Chalmers could not contain Mark Bridge,
who played a very spirited game. The team did their
best, and scored two goals.
The Second goal was scored by Logan Tardiff, with
Assist to Logan Johnson. The third goal was scored
by Tyler (his first of the season) and the crowd
went wild! The goal came off a Nifty pass from Logan
Tardiff, who was in the open to score on his own,
but made a very unselfish play to pass to
Tyler.Great Work Tyler!
The game ended 7-3, the boys were spent! |
