Sarnia City at St. Thomas

Sarnia City travelled to St Thomas on Sunday evening in LAWSL premier division action.

Julie Wardell put City out front with a low shot to the corner of the goal. Moments later Sarnia City would strike again albeit a strange one; Carly Hall crossed the ball to the far post for Nancy Barwitzki to knock towards goal where Wardell was able to get a touch to redirect the ball. Seemingly the St Thomas GK was able to make the save but as the ref looked over to the linesmen, the flag went up signaling a goal for City.

Sarnia City would hold a 2-0 lead at the half but St Thomas would score two goals quickly after the re-start. The remainder of the game saw both teams trading good scoring chances but the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
