Sarnia City defeated down river rivals Corunna by a score of 3-0. Goalkeeper Jenna Denning getting the win with a shutout.

Sarnia City then travelled to face last year’s provincial champs and national runners up the North London Galaxy. Maintaining a good defensive shape, Sarnia City frustrated Galaxy time and time again but were behind 1-0 at the half.

Facing a daunting task the girls showed this was not going to be a walk over for London and battled hard for every ball. Eventually Galaxy began to wear down the Sarnia defense and scored three more times in the 2^nd half to win 4-0. Even in defeat Sarnia City could take pride in the tremendous effort they put forth!

Sarnia City then played host to the German Canadians winning by a score of 3-1.

Team captain Nancy Barwitzki has scored 4 goals over the last three games and GK Jenna Denning has been terrific between the pipes!
