The Fury faced the Chatham Attack at the
Dante Club on Monday June 1st. Perhaps the
loss against Petrolia was a defeat that
Sarnia was determined not to repeat, or
maybe these kids are jelling as a team.
With the diverse playing background of these
kids, surprises are sure to keep coming.
What the spectators saw this night was one
unit, one team, working together to pass,
shoot, defend, and outplay their opponents.

From the start Sarnia dominated the game,
maintaining possession of the ball, keeping
Chatham racing after them, and sending some
great passes to the Chatham keeper's lair.
Anthony Fazzalari stepped into the net for
Sarnia (in the absence of Nick Speed) and he
did a spectacular job, making saves worthy
of a pro. It would be a disservice not to
give credit to all 15 players on the field
for this game, because it was quite obvious
each one of them was trying their best.
Headers, passes, shots on net - from so many
of the kids made it a great game to watch.
First to score was Sarnia. Nick Vozza sent
a beautiful pass up the middle to Tyler
Vynckier, who then passed it up the side to
Trevor McEwan. Trevor slammed that ball
from quite far away, and it zipped past the
Chatham keeper's outstretched hands. The
first half ended at 1 - 0 Sarnia.

During the second part of the game, Chatham
managed to slip one past Anthony. Sarnia
quickly took possession and kept it until
they scored again. The second goal started
with Sarnia having the ball in front of the
Attack's net, and shots were pounding the
Chatham keeper. In the keeper's efforts to
stone the Fury players, one of his
deflections was sent straight to Daniel
Vallee. From outside of the 18 yard box,
Daniel connected and sent it flying into the
far top corner way past the keeper's reach.
Final score the game was 2 - 1 for Sarnia.
Way to go Fury!
