Sarnia Spirit (1) vs. Southend United Fusion (3)

Sarnia travelled to London for their 2^nd meeting with Southend United during league play.  Under less than favourable conditions, wet and slippery, Southend would strike first very early in the game at the 3 min. mark.  With only minutes left to play in the 1^st half, Southend again, would sail one high over our goalkeeper scoring their second of the night.

Sarnia’s attempts early in the 2^nd half would fall short, as Southend would break out the scoring 10 minutes into the half.  There was nothing Graham could do in net as this one again sailed high over her head, putting Southend up by 3.  The next goal would be Sarnia’s as Lilia Pasqual shot a beautiful ball down the centre of the field to find Alicia DaSilva pushing through the defenders with a blast of a shot soaring past the Fusion goalie.  Danielle Graham would make some additional saves keeping the score at 3-1 with Southend defeating Sarnia by 3-1.
