Sarnia Spirit (0) vs. Byron Athletica (4)

The Sarnia girls travelled to Byron’s home field for their
first league game against each other. With Byron in first
place in the standings, the Sarnia girls knew this would be
a challenging game.
The Byron team appeared quite hungry in the first half and
were able to put away 2 quick goals back to back late in the
first half. Byron pressured the Sarnia girls early and as a
result Sarnia were unable to get many shots on the
opposition’s net.
Very early in the 2nd half, Byron fired one high
past the Sarnia goalie. Sarnia pressed on trying very hard
to penetrate the tough defence of Byron, but to no avail.
Byron would put one more away earning the win with a score
of 4-0. |
