Sarnia v Bluewater
at Suncor Park
July 5, 2010

The
day was hot and humid, hot
enough to cook eggs on the
sidewalk. That didn't stop the
Fury from winning another home
game, although it may have
slowed them down a little.
By 7:00 pm, when the game
started, there was no relief to
the sweltering heat. Both
Bluewater and Sarnia worked
hard, pushing past the
exhaustion that set upon them
from the intense humidity.

While Bluewater's bench was
almost full, Sarnia had to work
with only one spare. Spencer
Gorman was out with an injury,
Tyler Vynckier was ill, and both
Christian McCormick and Austin
Long were unable to play that
night. For that, Sarnia's kids
were pushed to the limit to keep
up, and keep up they did. With
25 minutes left in the game they
found themselves behind by a
goal, with a score of 4 - 3 for
Bluewater. By the end of the
match the tides had turned and
the Fury had won with a score of
5 - 4.
Jacob Pullen
played an amazing game, giving
110% for the entire match,
pushing his teammates to
contribute the same. Trevor
McEwan and Spencer Charlton each
scored twice in the win. Kyle
Mackin scored the second goal of
the game, taking the ball from
the half mark and going down the
left side of the field all
alone, Once he was close enough
he took a shot on the net and
received a point for his
efforts. |
