Illderton Ignite by a score of 0 – 0. Later that
afternoon, Sarnia would face London Alliance Attack and
were able to produce a strong 6-1 win. With only a ten
minute break before the next game, the boys took to the
field facing Waterloo Black and came away with a 3-1
win. Sarnia finished 1st in their group with
the tie & 2 wins to move onto Sunday’s semi final round.
On Sunday,
the Fury were able to continue their strong play, coming
up with a 3-1 win against London United Gunners to
advance to the championship game against the Brampton
Red Devils.
In the final, Sarnia played will all their heart and
never gave up against a bigger and stronger Brampton
team. The Fury lost to the Red Devils 8-0 but the boys
were tenacious to the end, making the parents and
coaches (Aldo DeSantis & Chad Hogan) very proud to
finish 2nd out of 10 teams.
