Sarnia Spirit Women
remained atop the LAWSL Div.2 standings with a
convincing 4-2 victory over Greater London at Cove
Road on Tuesday. London opened the scoring early
with a well executed set piece corner. Sarnia
answered quickly with two goals and near the end of
the first half London scored their second on a free
kick just outside the box. Sarnia dominated the
second half and scored two quick goals twenty
minutes in. London never recovered and rarely got
out of their own end. The excellent Cove Road pitch
seemed to favour Sarnia's passing game.
Spirit scorers were Sarah Harding, Helen Stoesser,
Amanda Thompson and Kierstan Colbran.
