SARNIA FURY BLACK
LOSE CLOSE GAME
The Sarnia Fury
Black played their last game
vs. a U10 team facing the
Sarnia Fury White. The game
was played Monday night on
perfect weather conditions
at the beautiful Bluewater
Bridge Park.
Fury Black came out strong
and struck early in the game
as striker Isaiah Edlington
pounded on a loose ball in
the Fury white goal. The
lead would carry for 15 mins
until the White Fury put one
behind Black keeper Andrew
Harron. Some good
goaltending was evident on
both sides of the pitch
throughout the game. Teams
went into the half tied 1 -
1.
The Sarnia White Fury turned
it up a notch in the second
half pressuring the Black
Fury on numerous occassions.
The Black Fury however shut
down most good scoring
chances and kept the game
even. In the 50th min. of
play the Fury White took the
one goal lead on a Fury
Black own goal. A crossing
ball was placed in the box
which was inadvertently re
-directed into their own
goal by mid-fielder Kyle
Flamminio. He always wanted
to score with his head (lol).
The Fury Black tried to
equalize but could not solve
the White Fury goaltending.
They fell short 3 - 1
closing out the game. Strong
effort by all kids on both
teams! Final Score:
Sarnia Fury Black 1 vs.
Sarnia Fury White 3.
