Sarnia Fury U9 Black

Sarnia Fury Black (U9  vs. Wyoming FC (U10)

The Sarnia Fury Black (U9) opened up their 2011 season vs. Wyoming FC  on a beautiful evening for soccer, at Bluewater Bridge Park.  The Sarnia Fury Black U9 squad is made of of all players under the age of 9 years old. They are playing in the U10 Division of the Lambton Kent District Soccer League.  All players, coaches and parents were very eager to get the season under way!

The Fury started strong as striker Ryan Janssens opened the scoring early.  Not to be denied Wyoming FC was quick to tie it up.  This would be indicative of how the game would play out as the lead changed several times.  Striker Tristan Konrad scored giving the Fury their second lead of the game. Other Fury goals were scored by Carter Barron, Kyle Flamminio and Tristan Konrad (2). Mateo Troiani set up two goals to keep the Fury even with Wyoming. In the end unfortunately, time was unforgiving as the clock ran out leaving the Sarnia Fury trailing by one goal.

Coaches were very proud of the kids efforts and results. The Fury's strong back four defenders (Christian D'agostini, Alex Newall, Dean Palimaka and Nathan Ingles) provided solid defense.  Midfielders James Brown, Dominic Krasinkiewicz, Nathan Hawkes and Kyle Flamminio showed great endurance playing both sides of the pitch. Finally, a gutsy performance by Fury keeper Andrew Harron in goal!

Final Score:  Sarnia Fury Black (U9)  5  -  Wyoming FC  6
