At
Lansdowne this week the Dumpsters were able to put up
their first win of season against Red Army by a score of
15-7. Alex Holt played excellent for the winning side
out running and out jumped his defenders. Jeff Rathburn
caught a rare “Callahan”, scoring a point off a
defensive interception.
Also at
Lansdowne Huck My Disc remained undefeated beating Short
Bus (formerly known as Bkejanong) 15-5. For Huck My
Disc it Chrissy “Mac Daddy Two” McNamera playing a
brilliant game highlighted with a sweet diving catch.
Despite the team’s name change, Short Bus has still yet
to win a game this season.
At
Canatara this week the Megalomaniacs played a tight game
against the Cookie Monsters, but the monsters were able
to pull away at the end of the game winning 15-11.
The
Petrolia fields saw the meeting of two undefeated teams
to this point; the Huckstables and the Ultimate
Suspects. The game started out with a 4-4 tie. The
Suspects pulled ahead and were leading 8-6 at half
time. In the second half the Suspects out scored the
Huckstables 7-3 to take the victory. For the Suspects
Liz Entrop had an incredible defensive game with several
huge defensive blocks. Scott Hall of the Huckstables
made one of the nicest diving catches of the year.
