August 13, 2009 - Week 10
Suspects 15 -
Megalomaniacs 3
As suspected, the
Megalomaniacs came out short on subs again this week
in their match against the Suspects. The Suspects
took full advantage scoring early and often against
the tired Megalos winning 15-3. A strong handling
game was played by Michelle Jubenville and Brian
Thorne gave the Suspects an outstanding defensive
effort. Benoit Laroche had the lone bright spot for
the losing side with his flying end zone catch.
Red Army 15 - Hungate’s
Mom 12
Red Army got their
second win in a row against Hungate’s Mom this week
15-12. Marc Lucas had a strong game intercepting a
pass right off the throw, and scoring that same
point with an elegant dive in the endzone.
Banana Hammocks 15 -
Huckstables 0 (Forfeit)
Unfortunately the
Huckstables did not have enough players this week to
be able to field a team. The Banana Hammocks did
give them some players for a fun scrimmage but the
score goes in the books 15-0 for the Hammocks.
Bulldogs 15 - Delusions
of Grandeur 4
The Bulldogs continue
their turn around season taking advantage of a
Delusions of Grandeur team short on handlers. A
good team effort led to the 15-6 win.
One more week of regular
season games sees all teams play a similar seeded
team. Final playoff tournament will be played on
Saturday August 22. |
