No "Dog Days" of summer this week in Frisbee

Games of August 6th

In one of the first real summer nights of the year, the Megalomaniacs did not just have delusions of grandeur; they played a frisbee game full of grandiose this week at Lansdowne against the Bulldogs.

Short on substitutes again on this steamy summer night, the Megalos were down 8-7 at the half, feeling the pressure as the Bulldogs seemed to fetch every wild throw put up for them in the park. The quick-thinking Megalos were able to adjust their defence to their advance, creating a grand formation that the Bulldogs were not trained for. In a nail-biting finish, the Megalos eventually tamed the Bulldogs to a 15-13 victory.

Leslie Smith had an impressive diving end zone catch for the winning side, while Jessica Shaw and Justin Randall both had great games for the Bulldogs.

The Banana Hammocks layed-out a Suspect victory this week in a hard-fought match up of talent against the Suspects. The Hammocks were hoping to swing up in the standings, after their devastating loss to the Megalomaniacs last week.

No player seemed to shine brighter than the others this week on the Bananas, as the whole bunch played a stellar team game, proving that there is no "I" in Banana Hammocks. In the end, the Suspects could not keep up to the Hammocks with their lack of subs, losing 11-15.

The Huckstables saw red this week, as the Red Army seemed to march over every play the Huckstables could group together. The Huckstables will have to play with more than just pudding pops next week, if they hope to climb out of last place before the tournament.  The Red Army won the game 15-7.

Delusions of Grandeur continued their winning season at Canatara this week against Hungate's Mom.  They took the game by 15-8 margin.
