Sarnia Ultimate Frisbee League

July 30, 2009

In Week 8 action on the Ultimate Frisbee Pitches of Sarnia, some dominating performances were seen.  The Banana Hammocks and Megalomaniacs had a highly competitive first half with only a point between the teams.  However in the second half, the Bananas looks limp and could not rise to the occasion against the strong zone of the Megalos.  The Bananas tried a zone of their own but they could not stop the strong handlers led by Kyler Brouwer, as the Megalos took the match 15-9.

The Suspects utilized their handlers well against Hungate’s Mom.  Kevin Brown converted many of his throws for points, making the difference against he speeding Hungate’s team.  Suspect win 15-9.

The Huckstables found themselves in the familiar spot of being short on players.  With 4 girls and 2 guys (one player short overall), the Huckstables improvised their defence and were able to make it a respectable match.  Their opponents Delusions of Grandeur were able to outlast them though, 15-7 final.

The Bulldogs won their third game in a row making their record 3-5 in their recent turnaround.  The Bulldogs played well against Red Army’s zone defence by spreading out their offence.  They used speed to their advantage, and Dave Grahame had an outstanding game.  The Bulldogs won 15-6.
