It was a hot Thursday night as the Sarnia Ultimate
league played its second round of preseason games. The
Banana Hammocks rode the momentum of last week’s win to
an 8-1 first half lead against the Bulldogs. Instead of
throwing in the towel, the Bulldogs fought back earning
9-second half points, but eventually lost 15-10.
Christine Loannis was a standout for the Bulldogs with a
great offensive, transition and recovery game.
Hungate’s Mom got a boost from the debut of their rookie
player Jacob White, putting them into the win column
against the Huckstables 15-11. The Red Army struggled
against last year’s runner-up Suspects in a 15-5 loss.
In Canatara Park the Megalomaniacs won their second
straight game 15-10 against Team 8. Marc Lucas played a
high-energy game on both offence and defence helping the
Megalomaniacs earn the win. |
