About the Torunament

The event is named in memory of Shannon Warren, a young girl from Brigden who was killed tragically.  The young lady had a love for Volleyball and enjoyed following her mother around to women's game.  Shortly after her death, many of her mother's teammates suggested holding a volleyball tournament in her memory.   In 2001 after 14 years the family handed over the reins to the Community Living Sarnia - Lambton.  Director Earle Kilner became a co-convener at that time and today he share's the duties with Norma Hills at Community Living Sarnia Lambton.

Community Living Sarnia-Lambton (CLSL)
Community Living Sarnia-Lambton is
a charitable organization supporting individuals who have a developmental disability and their families.  Proceeds from the tournament will support approximately 500 individuals and their families throughout Sarnia and Lambton County.  Due to government cut backs programs like these depend on the support of fundraisers like the "Shannon Memorial Volleyball Tournament."
