WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (3-7-1, 1-4-1 NESCAC): Jan. 18 at Colby; Jan. 19 at Bowdoin.
Hamilton went 0-2-1 in a tough set of games last week, including a 7-5 loss at nationally ranked No. 4 Elmira College on Jan. 9, a 2-2 tie against Connecticut College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game at Russell Sage Rink on Jan. 11, and a 5-2 loss to nationally ranked No. 7 Amherst College in another NESCAC home game on Jan. 12.
Kathryn Kroleski ’09 (
New Rochelle, N.Y./The Gunnery [Conn.]) scored two goals against Elmira. Stephanie Miguel ’11 (Maple, Ontario/St. Robert Catholic HS) chipped in one goal and two assists. Miguel leads the Continentals with seven assists. Lauren Tomford ’10 (Avon, Conn./Kingswood-Oxford School) and Cindy Lukianchuk ’11 (Erickson, Manitoba/Balmoral Hall School)  added one goal apiece. Tomford leads the team with eight goals and 11 points.

 Rachel Rapoza ’10 (Barrington, R.I./Pomfret School [Conn.]) was credited with two assists. Meg Shine ’10 (Duxbury, Mass./Tabor Academy) made 28 saves in 60 minutes.

Carter-Tracy ’11 (Darien, Conn./Greenwich Academy), Jess Goldberg ’08 (Pittsburgh, Pa./Choate Rosemary Hall [Conn.]), Christie Sharlow ’11 (Potsdam, N.Y./Brewster Academy [N.H.]) and Amy Allen ’10 (Bright’s Grove, Ontario/Loomis Chaffee School [Conn.]) each contributed one assist. Against Connecticut College, Tomford’s power-play goal 54 seconds into the third period tied the game at 2-2. Jodi Raymond ’08 (Camillus, N.Y./Northwood School) and Kate Marek ’09 (Alexandria, Va./The Gunnery [Conn.]) were credited with assists on the Tomford goal. Miguel scored a power-play goal off assists from Rapoza and Kroleski. Shine made 27 saves. Against Amherst, Tomford extended her point streak to seven games with an assist on a power-play goal scored by Sharlow. Tomford has nine points (six goals, three assists) during her seven-game streak. Raymond assisted. Shine made several great saves early to keep the Continentals in the game. She finished with 34 stops, including 16 in the second period.
