Hamilton dropped both ends of a home-and-home series with nationally ranked No. 6 Rochester Institute of Technology over the weekend, falling, 4-1, at RIT on Nov. 17 and losing at Russell Sage Rink, 3-2 in overtime, on Nov. 18. Stephanie Miguel ’11 (Maple, Ontario/St. Robert Catholic HS) scored a goal in her first collegiate game on Saturday. Miguel slipped behind the RIT defense, deked the goalkeeper and scored on the forehand. Cindy Lukianchuk ’11 (Erickson, Manitoba/Balmoral Hall School) and Amy Allen ’10 (Bright’s Grove, Ontario/Loomis Chaffee School [Conn.]) were credited with assists. Kat Manning ’09 (Buffalo, N.Y./Park School) made 25 saves in 59:54 in goal. Miguel took four shots.

On Sunday, Lukianchuk scored one goal and assisted on another. Allen scored Hamilton’s other goal. Miguel was credited with assists on both goals. Meg Shine ’10 (Duxbury, Mass./Tabor Academy) made 37 saves in 64:48 in goal during her first game this season. The Continentals led 1-0 and 2-1, but didn’t put the Tigers away in regulation. RIT notched the game-winner with just 12 seconds left in overtime.
