On Day 1
(Wednesday) of the Championship with
absolutely gorgeous weather in Saint John,
the London Supernova went up against
Saskatchewan. The Supernova got off to
a great start with a 6-0 win over
Saskatchewan. Goal scorers were Devon Beach,
Chelsi Abbott, Natalie Bramwell, Jennifer
Siu with 2. |

Day 2
(Thursday) the weather turned cold and windy
but that didn't stop the Supernova as they
met PEI in their second game in preliminary
round and easily won the game with a 10 - 0
score. Jenn Siu and Chelsi Abbot scored the
first two goals followed by 2 goals by Devon
Beach, the first on on a penalty. Jenn
Siu scored the final goal in to finish the
half at 5 - 0. A strong second
half with Brooke Piper scoring a hat trick
in the first five minutes, followed by
Claire Hooper and Jessica Parry to end the
game with the final 10 - 0 score. |

Day 3
(Friday) the Shut Outs continued as they
defeated BC with 5 - 0 win. Devon
Beach scored two goals the first with her
head after a fantastic cross and then Devon
followed with a well placed drive from the
top of the box following a corner. Jenn Siu
scored 2 goals and Chelsi Abbott scored a
single to round out the goal scorers. |

Day 4
(Saturday) The Supernova started a little
slow against a spirited Newfoundland team.
At about 25 minutes, Devon Beach scored on a
diving header after a great cross by Jessica
Parry. The Supernova made it 2 - 0 just
before the half when Carlee Myles connected
on a corner. In the second half the
Supernova controlled the came and finished
by adding 5 goals. Scoring for the
Supernova were Dina Gabrielli, Chelsi Abbot,
Emily Fiddy and Brooker Piper with 2.
Final score of the game was 7 - 0.

Going for Gold!
With a 4 - 0 finish in the preliminary round
they take the #1 spot in the B Division and
guarantees the Ontario team a spot in the
Gold Medal game which will be played on
Monday. Their opponent is yet to be
determined, but if Manitoba wins their game
on Sunday they will be the top finishers in
the A division and will meet with the
Supernova team from Ontario.

Day Six -
Championship Game
The London Supernova Ladies who represented
Ontario at the 2006 Club Nationals won the
Gold Medal on Thanksgiving Monday. The
team defeated Manitoba by a score of 1 - 0.
