Beach scores winning goal!
In London on
Sunday the London City Supernova needed
a win to take the top spot in the U15
OYSL league. In their final game
of the season they went up against
Oshawa, who recently won the U15
Ontario Cup Championship.
The game was scoreless after the first
half. In the second the Supernova
pressured Oshawa deep in their end with
several scoring chances but were unable
to capitalize. Finally 20 minutes
into the half from a cross kick Devon
Beach headed the ball into the net for
the eventual game winning goal for a 1 -
0 win. |

In the tight
race for League Champions London City
and Dixie each had a 16 win - 1 tie - 1
loss for a total of 49 pts. London
won the League with a 48 to 46 goal
differential.
Devon had a great year being the top
goal scorer for the team and place 3rd
in the league with a total of 13 goals. |
Devon is the daughter of Susan and Nigel Beach and
sister of Corbin Beach.
Sheis a graduate of
Errol Road Elementary School and is in grade 10 at Northern
Collegiate.
Devon's soccer career started in the Sarnia
Girls Soccer Club before she joined the London City Club
(formally known as North London) at U12.
The London
City Supernova play in the
prestigious Ontario Youth Soccer League (OYSL) U15 girls’
division.
The OYSL is at the highest-level youth
competitive league in the Province of Ontario.
