Devon Beach invited by the
Canadian Soccer Association

to attend the U16 National Training Camp

Aug 3 - 10, 2006

After returning from a successful National All Star Championships in Saskatchewan where she was a member of  the Gold medal U16 Ontario Team, Devon Beach has been invited
by the Canadian Soccer Association to attend the U16 National Training Camp in Vaughan, Ontario beginning August 3 through to the 10th. This is the second year Devon has been invited to a National Training camp as she attended the U15 camp in 2005.

There is a total of 18 players invited and Devon is one of 8 Ontario players selected to train. Quebec and B.C. each have three players attending, Manitoba with 3 and one player each from Alberta and Nova Scotia.

The U16 National team is a non-competitive team that will hold training camps and International matches throughout the year,  the U16 team consists of players who are eligible to compete for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in four years.  The purpose of the team is to provide International experience ahead of their selection to "competitive" (U17 and U20) teams and to further develop players for Canada's U18 team.

Congratulations Devon!
