Fanshawe Falcons vs
Mohawk Mountaineers
September 25, 2007
The Falcons kept their
winning/shutout streak alive by defeating the Mowhawk
Mountaineers
by a score of 1 - 0 in London on Tuesday afternoon.

Both sides went back and forth until 3/4 of the way into the
first half when Fanshawe slipped the only goal of the game
through the hands of the Mohawk keeper. Shasta MacDermid
(London) scored the game winner from the middle after receiving
a pass from Carly Hall (Sarnia).
In the second half Fanshawe had several open net chances but
were unable to hit the mark,
however the single goal was all that was needed to take the win.
 |
Outstanding in net
making several keys saves was Sara King
(Peterborough) earning the win and her
2nd shut out of the season.

Next up the Falcons travel to Etobicoke on Saturday September 29
to take on Humber College. Both Humber and Fanshawe are
undefeated (3 - 0) in the league and this game should be an
exciting one as they fight for the top spot in the the OCAA West
Division. Kickoff - 11:00 AM.
