Western Athlete of the Week
 Jason Milliquet, Men's Basketball (Third Year, Guard, Sarnia, Ont.)

Jason Milliquet of the Western Mustangs men's basketball team has been a huge reason why the Mustangs have qualified for the CIS Basketball Championships in Ottawa March 14-16.

In Western’s last four wins – excluding a regular-season loss to Guelph on Feb. 20 – Milliquet has been 21/32 from three-point range and has 63 points.

This past week, he went 8/13 from three-point range in the OUA West Semi-Finals and Finals and has chipped in 34 points in the two wins and played some great defense shutting down both Windsor and Brock. In the final regular season win and the three playoff games he has converted on 66% of his three-pointers. Milliquet also had a steal and four rebounds against Brock in the OUA West Final game on Saturday in which Western won 79-62.

Milliquet’s performance is one of many admirable contributions from the Mustangs this past week. They have been playing very well as a team and it is tough to single out one player as the reason why they are heading to the OUA Final this Saturday March 8 at Carleton to take on the Ravens.
