In their
second high scoring game in the
Championship Team Canada is now assured
a spot in the semi finals. In game
2 Sarnia student Carolyne Prevost scored
the second goal in the 2nd period at
4:10. Canada was leading 4 - 0 at
this point when Germany scored their
only goal at 9:36 after Canada's net
minder Amanda Mazzotta couldn't control
a loose puck to end her bid of a shut
out. Canada went on and scored 5
unanswered goals - 2 more in the second
period and 3 in the third to end the
game with a final score of 10 - 1.
Canada is leading in Pool A and USA and
Sweden are tied in Pool B. Games
to watch on Wednesday will be Team USA
vs Sweden as both teams are 2 - 0.
Canada will meet Finland who are 0 - 2. |
