Ronald "Butch" Lennan

Butch
Lennan sporting career dates back to the 1940’s when he
played for several different championship hockey and
baseball teams. As a teenager Butch was a third baseman for
the Petrolia Hardoilers, winning the Western Counties
Juvenile B championships 1946, 1947 and 1948. The team also
won the OBA championship in 1948. In 1950 he was a member
of the OBA Championship team with the Corunna Giants. In
hockey he was a star player and goal scorer for the 1950-51
Sarnia Junior Sailors Junior B Champions. Butch is an avid
golfer and possesses a keen interest in the junior golf
program and has assisted several of the younger golfers.
Today he continues to golf, bowl and walks several miles
each day along the St. Clair Parkway where he lives with
Shirley, his wife of 51 years.
