Sarnia Lady Sting Midget B Tournament Champs in Orillia

The Sarnia Lady
Sting Midget B team had an
amazing weekend January 8-10th
winning the Orillia Hawks Midget
B tournament.
Leading up to the
Championship game the Lady Sting
went 2-1 in round robin play.
In their first game the Sting
shut out the Brock Jr. Badgers 4
- 0 and in the second game they
defeated the Bancroft Jest 3 -
1. In the third match up
against Kapuskasing they were
shut out by a score of 3 - 0.
The girls bounced back in the
semi-finals and defeated Grand
River Mustangs 3 - 1 to earn the
spot in the final game. In
the final it was a rematch
against the undefeated
Kapuskasing team where the Lady
Sting earned the Gold with a 2 -
0 shut out win.
The Sarnia Lady Sting Midget B
team will be in action this
weekend participating in their
home Sarnia Girls Silver Stick
Tournament. Action begins
on Thursday when the team faces
off at 1:30 pm against Walkerton
at Clearwater Arena. The
team then will host Team Wyoming
USA following the opening
Ceremonies that is being held at
the Sarnia Arena beginning at
6:00pm. On Saturday meet
Mt. Brydges at 1:30 at the SSEC
then later in the evening at
7:45 against Blyth.
