The Huron Lakers
Atom girls basketball team won
gold last weekend at the Port
Huron High School Basketball
Tournament. This was their third
tournament of the year. Teams
from Port Huron, Marysville,
Croswell-Lexington, and
surrounding areas took part in
the tournament.
The Lakers went 3-0 beating
Marysville and
Croswell-Lexington in early game
play. The Croswell-Lexington
game was a nail-biter with a
game winning basket score at the
buzzer which sent them into the
finals and gold medal game. The
Lakers went on to take gold in
the finals.
The coaches were pleased with
the tournament result and are
looking forward to their next
tournament in February in
London.
