Sarnia Legionnaires Lost Game 1 in LaSalle

Legionnaires dropped their first
game 6 - 1 to the LaSalle Vipers
in round one of the Greater
Ontario Jr B Hockey League
playoffs.
After the first
period both sides were even 1 -
1. LaSalle's Liam
MacDougall opened the scoring
just :52 seconds into the game.
Ethan Dupont from PJ Vandervaart
scored the lone goal for the
Legionnaires at 3:34.
The Vipers added
four goals in the second and a
single in the third.
MacDougall tallied 2 goals in
the game and singles by Nathan
Savage, Daniel Beaudoin, Brett
Primeau and Connor Rosaasen.
Both sides went
scoreless on the power play.
Sarnia had three opportunities,
LaSalle two.
LaSalle outshot
the Legionnaires 43 - 33.
Aidan Huges got the start but
left the game with an injury in
the second. Hughes stopped
23 of 25 shots. Shayne
Battle replaced Hughes made 14
saves on 18 shots.
Eli Billing
earned the win with 32 saves.
The two teams
return to action on Saturday
March 5th for game two in
Sarnia. Game time 7:10 pm
at the Sarnia Arena.
