Saturday October 6, 2007

On Saturday October 6, 2007 the Sarnia Lambton Sports Hall of Fame held it's 25th Induction dinner at the Holiday Inn with over 300 guests attending.  Special Guest of the evening included Mayor Mike Bradley, MP Pat Davidson and Lambton County Warden Jim Burns and  Andy Brandt who was attending for his 25th year as the master of ceremonies.

During the introductions of the special guest who brought greetings and well wishes it was the Announcement of Mayor Mike Bradley that brought a few tears to the eyes of many people when he made a special announcement not yet released to the public at the Awards dinner.  His announcement was the re-naming of the #2 Baseball Diamond at Germain Park to be called the "Rose Hodgson Memorial Diamond".  Rose Hodgson passed away earlier this year was a founding member of the Sports Hall of Fame.  She worked tirelessly for the Hall of Fame and other charitable organization in the community and touched so many people with her work.
