Priscilla Harkins


Priscilla Harkins won this award for her contributions to rifle marksmanship, archery

and hockey.
 

She rocketed to stardom in 1958, becoming only the seventh woman in Canada to

receive the Gold Shield for rifle marksmanship.
 

In 1960/61 Priscilla was the Dominion of Canada archery champion, having won

numerous competitions in bare-bow archery in Winnipeg and Dunnville.
 

She also played women's hockey and coached girls hockey.
 

As a school teacher she coached volleyball, basketball, badminton, floor hockey and soccer.
