The Sarnia Pacers Junior B Lacrosse Club officially concluded the 2010 season with their annual awards banquet,
Wednesday night at
the Point Edward
Ex-Servicemen's
Club.
Lance Ross
captured two
trophies who was
named the Most
Defensive Player
of the year and
the Unsung Hero
Award.
Other awards
went to Jim
Purves for Top
Scorer Award,
Ryan Charteris
for Most
Sportsmanlike
Player, Most
Improved went to
TJ Mara, Ben
Tamming earned
the Heart Hustle
and Desire
Award.
Most Dedicated
Award was
presented to
Connor Smith,
Rookie of the
Year went to Dan
Charlton and the
MVP Award for
2010 was
presented to
Riley Thompson.
A special award
presented to
someone within
the Pacers
organization for
high achievement
in the sport of
lacrosse went to
club President
Brian Matthews.
The club will be
seeking
replacements in
key positions in
2011 as Coach
Ken Barrett and
Assistant Coach
Shaun Kennedy
both announced
that they were
stepping down
next season due
to personal
reasons.
Coach Barrett
praised the
players on a
good year
despite the
stats.
